Craning and Storage  |
We can crane boats up to 10 tons and store them ashore for a week/month/winter.
The slip can handle boats up to about 15 tons. Undercover storage is
available for boats on which we are doing significant work. Masts can
be stepped and unstepped. Contact us for current rates. |
Engineering |
Outboards, outdrives, inboards - diesel or petrol. We have engineering staff able to take care of most problems; from rebuilding an engine to fitting a new spark plug. |
| Repairs and Restorations Wood/GRP |
We undertake repairs on all sorts of boats whether GRP or wood. We
are pleased to be able to offer the skills to repair traditional wooden
boats whether carvel or clinker. Our large boatsheds offer an excellent
environment so that repairs can be carried out to the best possible standard.
We have worked with most of the marine insurance companies.Our boatbuilding
experience stands us in good stead when it comes to carrying out restorations
and repairs. As well as physical repairs we can repaint and varnish in traditional or polyurethane finishes so that you can be proud of the way your boat looks. |
Osmosis Treatment
and Prevention |
As a Blakes Osmosure Approved Treatment Centre we are able to carry out the full process under controlled conditions and issue a Warranty (3 or 5 year). We have de-humidifiers and infra-red lamps to speed the drying process. This treatment has a high success rate. We have epoxy-coated all our Curlews from new, to date we have not encountered any osmosis problems with them. |
Rigging |
We do not only rig our own boats, we are also happy to make up and
fit rigging for your boat. Stainless steel and galvanised wire: 3mm - 8mm Ropes: 3-strand and braids: 3mm - 14mm Garage door wires; guardwires; architectural rigging; stays; webbing jackstays; halyards; sheets; reefing lines. Roller forestays and in-mast roller mainsails fitted and overhauled. Lazy-jacks; aerials and wind instruments fitted on masts. |
Chandlery |
We have a new and well-stocked chandlery with (we hope) most of what
you need for your boat. As well as waterproofs, sailing shoes and boots. Admiralty Chart Agent. Liferaft collection point. |
